Our Vision

A caste-free society based on liberty, equality, and inclusion.

Our Mission

Empower youth and their families in economically and socially marginalized communities through education, core skills, leadership, and employment.

The Dalit and tribal youth we serve have faced extreme poverty, homelessness, and discrimination, and have dropped or failed out of the state educational system. We provide a learning environment to build basic literacy, leadership, and a path to education and economic freedom.

Our students leave our programs, re-enroll in the state educational system, join technical training, graduate from high school, enroll in college, or get a job. Ultimately, we believe that education is the path to economic freedom given our social systems and services do not currently support the unique learning needs of our Dalit and tribal students.

In 2023-2024, we are prioritizing two focus areas for maximum impact with the current resources and funding:

1. Education and Core Skills

2. Training and Employment

Who We Serve

The young women and men served in our academic programs are oppressed due to poverty and caste. The average age is 16 years. They belong to Dalit and tribal communities. They are not encouraged to study and often lose motivation and confidence. Many drop out of school and find low-paid menial work or get married at a young age.

At Blossom Projects, these students reside full-time in a supportive environment, where they develop their own unique academic and creative talents. They receive the encouragement they need to return to their studies and address the problems in their families and communities, with innovation and creativity.

Students and teachers share their hopes and dreams about Blossom.
